Değerli cazseverler,

9. Uluslararası Bodrum Caz Festivali programının neredeyse hazır olduğunu duyurmaktan büyük heyecan duyduğumu belirtmek isterim. Bu yılın teması olan #CazınRenkleri, bizleri cazın hayatımıza kattığı zengin çeşitliliği, yaratıcılığı ve duygusal derinliği kutlamaya davet ediyor. Caz, özünde sınırları aşan ve tanımayı reddeden bir müzik türü. Kültürel, sosyal ve müzikal birçok etkiden beslenir, her an yenilikçi ve heyecan verici bir şey yaratmak için ritimleri, armonileri ve doğaçlamaları harmanlayarak zengin bir ses paleti oluşturur. Bir ressamın tuvalde renkleri karıştırdığı gibi, caz müzisyenleri de her an kendinden olanı da notalara ekleyerek renkli bir dünya yaratır.

Bodrum Caz Festivali, her zaman yenilikçiliğin ve sanatsal değişimin merkezi olmuştur ve bu yılın teması, müzikte ve hayatta çeşitliliğin önemini vurgulamaktadır. #CazınRenkleri, cazın insan deneyiminin tüm çeşitliliğini yansıttığını simgeler; sevinç ve kutlamadan hüzün ve derin düşüncelere kadar her duyguyu içinde barındırır. Festival boyunca, geleneksel cazdan en son füzyon çalışmalarına kadar uzanan performanslarla, bambaşka kültürlerden gelen sanatçılarla tanışma fırsatınız olacak. Bu festival sadece bir etkinliksler dizisi değil; müziğin, birçok rengiyle bizleri nasıl birbirimize bağladığının bir kutlaması. Nereden geldiğimiz fark etmeksizin, cazın bizleri bir araya getiren gücüne tanıklık edeceğiz.

Bu unutulmaz deneyime hazırlık yaparken, cazın büyüsüne kapılmanızı, geçmiş ile geleceğin, gelenek ile yeniliğin muazzam birleşimini Bodrum’un eşsiz atmosferinde keşfetmenizi diliyoruz. Dünya çapında performanslar, söyleşiler, ödül törenleri, sergiler, atölye çalışmaları ve işbirlikleri ile #CazınRenkleri, bizi ilham veren, heyecanlandıran ve bir araya getiren bir yolculuk olacak. 2-15 Haziran 2025 tarihleri arasında bu inanılmaz sanat formunu kutlamak için bize katılmanızı umuyoruz.

Festival Programı
Festival programını oluştururken her zamanki gibi başvuran sanatçılar arasından bu yılın temasını en güzel yansıtacağını düşündüğümüz seslere yer verdik. Grupları seçerken çoğu festivalde yer vermekte zorlandığımız, cazın diğer renklerini icra eden grupları öne alarak seçimlerimizi tamamladık. Sizlerin de değerli katkıları ile Festival boyunca hep birlikte tanıtım güçlerimizi birleştirelim istiyoruz. Neden Caz Festivali?
Festivaller bir kentin geleceğini şekillendirir, yaşayanların moralini yükseltir, kente her türlü yatırım yapanların istediği karşılığı almasına yardımcı olur. Bodrum bu anlamda şanslı bir kent. Doğal güzelliğinin yanısıra kente bir festivalin katacağı anlamı anlayacak, değerlendirecek ve destekleyecek bir çok insan, kurum ve kuruluşa sahip bir yerleşim yeri.

Başta T.C. Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığı olmak üzere T.C. Muğla Büyükşehir Belediyesi, T.C. Bodrum Belediyesi ve tüm destek veren kurum ve kuruluşlara, basın kuruluşlarına, emek veren herkese, katılan tüm müzisyenlerimize ve her zaman olduğu gibi siz değerli dinleyicilerimize teşekkür ediyoruz.

Her yıl olduğu gibi bu yıl da afişimizi, T.C. Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi Bodrum Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Grafik Bölümü Başkanı sevgili Prof. Erol Turgut ve jüri üyesi hocalarımıza ayrıca kazanan öğrencimiz Zeynep Özdemir’e bu renkli eseri için çok teşekkür ederiz.

It is with great excitement that I welcome you to the announcement of the 9th Internationa Bodrum Jazz Festival, set to take place from June 2nd to 15th, 2025. This year’s theme, #ColorsOfJazz, invites us to celebrate the rich diversity, creativity, and emotional depth that jazz brings to our lives. Jazz, at its core, is a genre that transcends boundaries and defies definition. It draws from a wide spectrum of influences—cultural, social, and musical—creating a palette of sound that is as varied and vibrant as the world itself. Just as an artist mixes colors on a canvas, jazz musicians blend rhythms, harmonies, and improvisations to create something new and exciting at every moment.

The Bodrum Jazz Festival has always been a hub for innovation and artistic exchange, and this year’s theme highlights the importance of diversity in both music and in life. #ColorsOfJazz symbolizes how jazz reflects the full spectrum of human experience, from joy and celebration to sorrow and contemplation. Throughout the festival, you will have the opportunity to experience performances that range from traditional jazz to cutting-edge fusion, showcasing a brilliant array of artists from all corners of the globe. The festival is not just an event; it is a celebration of how music, through its many colors, connects us all—no matter where we come from.

As we prepare for this unforgettable experience, we invite you to immerse yourself in the magic of jazz, to witness the beautiful fusion of past and present, tradition and innovation, all in the stunning setting of Bodrum. With world-class performances, workshops, and collaborations, #ColorsOfJazz will be a journey through sound that inspires, excites, and brings us together. Festival Program

While creating the festival program, as usual, we included the voices that we think will best reflect this year's theme among the artists who applied. While choosing the bands, we completed our selections by prioritizing the bands that perform other colors of jazz, which we have difficulty in including in most festivals.

With your valuable contributions, we want to join forces in announcing and distributing the festivals program. Let's ask you to share your comments and suggestions with the #CazınRenkleri tag. The program will be announced at www.cazdernegi.org address from beginning of April.

Why Jazz Festival?

Festivals shape the future of a city, raise the morale of the residents, and help those who invest in the city get the desired response. Bodrum is a lucky town in this sense. In addition to its natural beauty, it is a settlement with many people, institutions and organizations that will understand, evaluate and support the meaning that a festival will add to the city.

We would like to thank the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, Bodrum Municipality and all supporting institutions and organizations, press organizations, everyone who made an effort, all our participating musicians and as always, our esteemed listeners.

As every year, we would like to thank our dear Prof. Erol Turgut, Head of the Department of Graphics at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Bodrum Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University and the jury member professors, as well as our winning student Zeynep Özdemir for this colorful work.

As the Board of Directors, we would like to thank our team, especially Selin Demiral, İrem Gökçe Sancaklı, Burak Bozkurt, our technical advisor Erdinç Aktuğ, our Financial Advisor Selma Çetin and all our volunteers, who made the festival possible with their devoted work and hard work.
